Weight loss - Goal Or A Wish

Thursday, July 18, 2013

I think we have all heard the statement a million times and have possibly used those words ourselves lol. "I am hoping to lose blank amount of pounds". Of course when we use the word "hoping" there is no commitment with it. It is wishful thinking and we usually go on some crazy diet and deprive ourselves or some workout plan that is not suited to our lifestyle.

When you make a goal and write it down and commit to it rather than a plan in your head. Where do you want to be in one months time, six or even a year with your weight loss. What food changes are going make, how much exercise, do you need exercise buddy, who are you going call when tempted by chocolate cake and what other issues you may encounter in your weight loss journey.

Set achievable goals and don't worry if you have an off day. You can always start over.

When I decide to do something I DO change the language I use. When I quit smoking I stopped saying 'I'm trying to quit smoking' to 'I quit smoking'. After 30+ years I DID IT!!!! I quit smoking February 13 of this year!
