260/144 was my wake up call

Thursday, July 18, 2013

On Saturday 14th, I did two things. I weighed myself and gained and my blood sugar was 144 post 2 hours. The following 2 nights at work I had visited the vending machine one time too, much. I was, so tired that I was eating to stay awake. I had once again slacked on my nutrition and that is why the scale reflected that number. Okay, I own up to what I did without any excuses. However, in the mist of sparking I stubble on a fitness meet up group. This way I can start exercising with others and not alone. Well, our first workout session was with a young lady who is in The Guinness Book World Records Oldest Female Bodybuilder, Mrs. Ernestine Shepherd. I exercise 1 hour in a group class session. Then a few of us had a 1 hour strength training session with her on gym equipment. Let me tell you at 77 years young, her body is build like some 20 year old. I was inspired on Wednesday working out with her. I think with all these things I was dealing with and meeting her, it was the missing pieces to my puzzle to get me back on track. I'm looking forward to working out with her another 2 hours next week. My blood sugar has been normal and under a 100. I will weigh in again near the end of the month. Keep it moving! To keep on losing!

I've seen pictures of Ms. Ernestine and you're not joking when you say her body is like a 20 year old. That just says I have no excuses. I'm so happy your blood sugar has been good and I know you're encouraged working out with her.

    Glad you woke up@

I just put that thought to myself recently that I fuel badly when tired, perhaps in an effort to wake up.

Unravelling that is helping me understand my poor sleep patterns better.

All the best to you my friend!

You are capable and worthy! You will achieve your goals!

How cool you got to meet ms Ernestine!
