all sizes not equal rant

I am the type of person where I use my jeans and wait till the very last minute to buy new ones. I usually buy a bunch of the same jeans at one time.

Finally got down to 1 pair of jeans and desperately needed new ones.

Size is 18 and this is my problem .

Torrid I wear a size 18 which translates to 38 waist and 47 hip

Old Navy in Hawaii DOES NOT CARRY OLD NAVY + its rare to find in store and when you do its because somebody ordered it and didnt fit the item .

Old Navy Regular 18 is 37 waist 48 hip
Old Navy PLUS 18 is 39 1/4 waist 48 1/2 hip
American Eagle 18 is 36.5 waist 46 hip

Like seriously drive a woman crazy .

I ended up getting a regular 20 and fits the waist and the legs omg i can literally grab so much fabric i hate it . hate the fit but i needed it.

Hopefully WHEN i get to ONEderland , I will enjoy shopping oh so much more

    That is why I have almost quit wearing jeans (and haven't in almost a year. I wear black yoga pants or dresses. They all seem to run the same, lol.

    Even when you reach Onederland, it's still crazy with buying clothes with different brands, different sizes LOL I haven't bought my jeans for months, maybe years, especially when my sizes keep confusing and frustrating me and besides, I have way too many jeans of different sizes for different weights, haha.

    Anyhow, good luck with shopping clothes, try make the experience more enjoyable instead of cruciating painful :D

    It's the annoying thing about being a woman, you can never find clothes that fit right because every store uses a different sizing chart. I have the hardest time shopping for jeans. I have literally been to stores where I fit into a size 3 or 5 easily and others where the sales woman is basically pushing me into plus sizes. And don't even get me started on dress shopping. I honestly believe SNAPRUNNER is right about companies making a a pair of jeans and just putting a random size on it.

    I hear ya hunny! When I was ordering my dress for my wedding I looked at SEVERAL sizing charts. Instead of everyone having the same standards for size, they just make up a pair of jeans and slap a size on it. Sometimes I am pleasantly supprised with how a pair fits, sometimes I can't button them to save my pot-bellied soul. SO FRUSTRATING. And yes, when you get to onederland shopping is so much more enjoyable--a lot cuter clothes in the junior section--I don't care how old you are!
