The search continues

Thursday, July 18, 2013

I got back my test results for H. Pylori and it was negative. So the search continues as to why I am getting so many gas attacks, mainly at bedtime.. the burping and belching is extreme and can go on for hours. The other day, it woke me up in the morning.. It is so frustrating.

The Dr. has me on a med called Tecta, which is an acid reducer and it's not helping much, but I promised him I'd try it out for a month and then we can decide if I should stay on it after that, I've been on it for almost 3 weeks now.

I had such a bad attack last night at bedtime and it came out of the blue. I took some Pepto bismol and was finally able to get some sleep around midnight.

Most attacks aren't this bad thank goodness!!

So, I'll plug along and hope from day to day that this calms down! emoticon

Have you tried drinking a cup of ginger tea? It works awesome!

I know this has been frustrating. Good for you for maintaining a positive attitude while the doctors try to figure it out. Hang in there!

Whoa! How difficult for you. Some medications are cumulative - I know it took a while for my medications for hives to lock in. I just hate anything that interrupts sleep! Good luck with the medication.
