It's the small things in life - motivation of the day

While I was refreshing my iPod with the music from my computer, I stumbled upon a playlist of old favorites from 2001-2003. Wow, talk about a blast from the past! Those songs reminded me of my halcyon college gym junkie days, back when I had the time, energy and motivation to work out three times a day and party all night long. Ah, memories! During my today's workout, my last excercise of the day was the plank. I was having issues with it, and was about to call it a day without doing the last set. As soon as that thought crossed my mind, Eye of the Tiger came on my iPod. Well, with that soundtrack, how could I not finish the last set of the day? I decided to plank until the song was over. I thought I was all tapped out and had no energy left, but I managed to hold my plank for 2+ minutes, as Eye of the Tiger was blasting in my ears. Wow! So, my lesson of the day: when you think you cannot do something... You can. All you need is a good song from 80s.

Never underestimate the boosting capabilities of a good song!

I am always amazed that, just when I think I have nothing left to give a workout, there are still untapped reserves!

Good for you for completing your workout with 80's flair, lol.

    Have a great day!
