"Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't."

Often we are in this position when we know what we should do but some reason; we make another choice.

My preference is to ASK for advice. I really don't like the "should" word at all, as in: "You should.....". It's way to easy to see what somebody else SHOULD do. But when I'm in a particular bind I will ask for advice. Unfortunately, sometimes I don't take good advice that I've asked for and then regret it. However, that's better for me as I'd rather blame myself than somebody else because I can FIX myself. Ha! (or die trying....)

Well said. This is so true.
Sometimes putting it in writing makes the realization evident.
