Well I don't mind sharing. I think it was Monday where I blogged about mapping out my in-home work stations and planning my next challenge. Then I think it was Tuesday, I said I didn't get anything done. Well here it is Thursday I found perhaps the answer to my plan!!!
I took yesterday off and while I'm browsing through You Tube videos I find this woman's YT page. Oh my goodness she is definitely what I needed. Let me back up a bit for those that may not follow me regularly. I'm challenging myself this go round to incorporate more weight lifting in my regimen. Cardio, I have down pack with the exception of jogging. My goal is to become consistent with weight lifting since it increases muscle mass and that helps burn more fat. Her videos are so informative and I saw her do exercises I've never seen anyone else preform. Now a lot of folks focus on her bootay because she has a big one, but that's not my interest. Her videos are broken down by parts of the body the exercises work. She explains the muscle/muscle groupings, what area the exercises will target. So like me I want to work on slimming and toning my arms. She has a 3 part video specific to that area. If you're into bootie she has videos for that, back, stomach, legs the list goes on and on. I wasn't even looking for this but one of her videos title caught my eye and I scurried over to see. God knows how to bring us what we need when we need it.
I had created my workout calendar for the rest of the month on Tuesday. Alternating lower body and upper body strength training. I went on bodybuilding.com and pulled some exercises that would impact those areas. Trying to create a plan. I find this YTer and waaaallllaaahhh I have instant program and I can target what I want to target with each workout. She even had one that explains how to do different forms of squats if you're no longer feeling a burn from your squats, which I wasn't. My ugly area besides my arms are my inner thighs and she has a video for that area as well....
oh yes I hate it but I know this was what I've been looking for. She has a webpage also. Funny thing is as I type this blog I can't remember the name of her you tube page or blog page
It's something like bootinomics or body by buffie (is the name she goes by). I have it marked on my computer at home. I'll find it and add if anyone is interested.
I'm excited to get started with her training today. I watched several videos last nite but never got up to actually perform any of the workout as I had already worked out by that time. I went to the gym walked the treadmill for an hour, lifted for my upper body and did 30 squats.
So for today I've got plenty of water ready to drink. I've got my lunch and snacks and I'm prepared for the gym today. Today I think I'll work my lower body using the videos mentioned above.
My goal for the next 30-60 days:
1. Strength train & work on my arms, abs, inner thighs (focal points)
2. Start the C25K program again - Get up before work to do this
3. an hour of cardio 5 days a week
4. journal foods eaten (I'm going to focus on just writing down WHAT I eat, the calorie intake I will work my way towards that). I think that's the hardest part for me is looking up everything and calculating. Getting one habit down at a time hopefully will help me get there.
5. Drink 60 ounces water daily minimum
6. Cut waaaayyyyy back on my sweets consumption
Well that's me in a nutshell today. Feeling very positive...ready to be consistent once again.
