Loving yourself is about making promises and then keeping them. It can be the tiniest of vows, or even wants, but when you actually follow through and end up with the result you want, or something close to it, you realize, Hey I can do this. And then comes a stronger desire to do more, and to BELIEVE more deeply that yes, you can do it, and yes, you are doing it.
This is where I am.
I am building chops every day. I am growing my belief in myself that not only am I worthy of these positive changes, but that I am COMPLETELY capable of managing my own life, in a way that is pleasing to me. What pleases me? PROGRESS! OVERCOMING OBSTACLES! DOING WHAT I ONCE THOUGHT COULDN'T BE DONE.
Here is where I am.
I am working out multiple times a week.
I am eating healthy foods more often than not.
I am embracing my lovable self, with much less harsh criticism.
I am allowing others to love me, without shutting them out.
How Did I get here?
One step at a time.
Making a leap of faith, that even I, someone quite heavy, is yet beautiful and deserves love and happiness.
Making changes begins with one small step in the right direction. You just need to take a little action and failure be damned, do something else to push yourself along. We all know we are going to fail sometimes, so just take that off the table, and try something.
Here are my big wins and yours may be different, but I am getting out of my car more easily. My underwear doesn't roll to my knees (good thing I am wearing pants),
and I am starting to create a snowball effect where one good change brings another.
My life is on an upswing, and I believe it is because I took action. What are you doing to create snowball effects in your life?
