Foot update,, PHEW !! I WILL walk again with NO prob

Thursday, July 18, 2013

HI ALL !!

THANKS SOO MUCHERS for ALL the support you have given me. :) I saw the Dr today about my foot,,, to see if it needed to be amputated,, and THANKFULLY it DOES NOT !!! He's going to go into my leg,,,and cut the nerve that goes down into the foot,, so I will NO LONGER Feel the AWEFUL Pain I am in !! WOOHOOO !! how TERRIFIC is this???? I was ready and yet, NOT ready the worse news, cos that's what I've been told. He's an older Dr,,, knows his stuff and is a surgeon and not a foot Dr.

SO PHEW !!! HOPEFULLY Mary Ann (Gi) can come after I've healed some,,, he was starting to suggest rehab, but I Quickly (AS ALWAYS ) !! put an END to that. For 2 weeks I can NOT put ANY pressure on that leg/foot (hmmmm sleeping will be Interesting,,,for I always do !). Afterwards,,, I'll be able to walk, but without ANY feeling at ALL in the foot. So if I step on something I'll not know,,, etc. (right now though its mostly numb,, I've already stepped on wood,,, and a carpenters tack,, and NOT known it, however I can feel my feet on the floor,,,somewhat and currently feel tempatures. that'll also disapper. Overall it's a GR8thing to do. I've been thru ENOUGH !! This will surgery #16 on feet,,,, after it heals,, we'll do the right leg,, which ALSO hurts soo much.

THANKS ALL !!

Diane

Really great news! I'm so glad things have worked out for you :) It sounds like you WILL be able to do activities that were too painful before!

Just try not to step on anymore tacks ;)

Diane I am so glad that you don't have to go through with the amputation! I know that you must be happy about that. You just be sure to take good care of yourself after the surgery. Take good care my friend and if I lived closer I would come help you. I'm not quite ready to run away yet and hide in the trees of Maine. :-)

Hugs,
Sue
