The last two weeks have been AWFUL!
I gained back every pound I lost in June. I've been doing so awful that the weight gain isn't even my biggest worry. My eating was out of control... I took another "break" from being vegan (side note: I'm going to read Sistah Vegan & Eating Animals so that I finally have the ethics to stick to it), which always leads to be pretty much eating dessert 3 meals a day. So. Much. Candy.
And all my exercise progress... Ugh. I had run a 10k at the end of June. Yesterday, I went for a 1 mile jog and it was excruciating. ONE MILE! I also couldn't swim more than 20 minutes the other day.
But, I'm back. Re-dedicated. Re-focused. I joined the reddit DietBet competition (I recommend the website to everyone! You pretty much put money on the line to lose 4% of your body weight! If you're like me, external motivators make a big difference!) and have about 3.5 weeks left. I worked out this morning, 45 minutes walking/jogging on the treadmill & an hour in the pool.
Usually, I save all running for my days off work, but that isn't going to work anymore if I want to reach my goal of the half-marathon. Especially since I only have 2 days off in the next two weeks! If it's too hot to run by the time I get off of work, I'm going on that treadmill, baby. I can do it!
