Cool Coastal Climate

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

You have to understand- I love the sunny summer days. I LOVE the heat!

Give me a reclining chaise or a hammock,

a good book

and a Diet Coke

and I am good for the day.

Today I had to travel to the coast and was anticipating a walk on the boardwalk or beach before I came back across the mountains. Ugh!!

It was cool (58 degrees) and overcast.

No beach walk for me! Fortunately, I did an hour on the elliptical trainer before I left for the coast this am. emoticon That was a great workout! So glad that I am to that point again. I am looking forward to it again tomorrow. I have also increased my target steps because I was almost always over the 5000.

Tonight for dinner I did something different. I used my fat free Oscar Mayer hot dogs and slit them down the middle and stuffed it with a 1/2 slice of FF American cheese. I then "burrito" wrapped it in a sheet of phyllo dough, then baked it at 350 for about 5". It was delicious and a total of 100 calories each!

Tomorrow I have a dental cleaning and need to stop by some doctor offices to drop off materials. First I will get my workout in, of course.

Hey! I just learned that the Y is going to be offering Step Aerobic classes on Saturdays! I loved those classes years ago. Guess I will see if I still do.

Until tomorrow....

Too bad you didn't get to have your relaxing walk on the coast. Thanks for the tasty idea. I'm sure my kids would like that too. Mmmmm

I'll have to try that hot dog recipe emoticon , it sounds delicious. I feel the energy through your blog. I would have enjoyed the 58 degrees, not the 100 so much. Isn't it great how we are all so different? That way we don't all want to live in the same place!!

Sorry you didn't get your day in the sun. My dad grew up in Crescent City, and talked about how all he ever saw was cold, rain and wind. At least you weren't back East where it was supposed to be 90+ and humid. emoticon

I'd love to swap our triple digit, full sun for your cool, overcast day! I truly need to live somewhere with 70 degrees year round! LOL

I can send you some 90 degree heat and 88% humidity, if you'd really like it, I'll take that 58 degrees anytime, LOL. The aerobics classes sound great, hope you like them. And thanks for the recipe--those dogs really sound yummy, will have to try them.

I would rather have the weather we get in the fall, as it makes it easier for me to breathe. That 58 degrees, would have been perfect for me to take a nice long walk!!!

Step aerobic classes, eh!!! I loved step aerobics. I'm sure if I can do them any more, after the accident, but I do still have some DVDs, so I will have to try and see, what happens.

emoticon for thinking ahead on your exercises!!! That saved you, BIG TIME!!!

Be blessed,

- Nancy Jean -
