I love our different Teams, and Groups, and today was no exception. I must give credit to my teammate though, TRUHART! Today, she posted a great question for our threads, I responded, but thought I would share it on my BLOG!
Good question! I am talking only for myself, so here goes! Prior to SP, and my Lifestyle Changes getting into my HEAD and ROUTINE, I would BACKSLIDE lots!
Before, I keep thinking "I AM DIETING, I want to be thinner, not to weigh hundredSSSS of Pounds" and honestly I feel that was MY PROBLEM. Because I was trying to "diet" I would work like hell, exercise, starve, "think I was eating right!" Then if the scale didn't show a drop in pounds, I would be so discussed, "SCREWUP" and then start all over!
Now, since I started SP, my "mental outlook is very different!" I stopped "dieting" and started living! I have said this before, but I DID NOT THROW FOOD out, but LOGGED EVERYTHING IN MY KITCHEN, PANTRY, you name it, on my favorites...now it is there! Next, I used "my favorite recipes, and I do mean my favorites" and went to the SPRecipe Calculator! THIS WAS AN EYE OPENER! I kept all the foods, recipes, etc. but started to tweak them, however I could.
Okay, so there you have it! I sincerely hope this works for others. I HAD TO BE HONEST with MYSELF, TEACH myself, and be CONSISTANT with my LIFESTYLE CHANGES. Once I started that, things really started to happen, SLOWLY, but it kept me going.
I still have more to go, more changes to tweak, but then again, I still have a LIFE to live, a LIFESTYLE that I CAN Live with, and Baby, this gal is gonna do it!!!!
