Today is a rare day this summer. I'm off from work, and we do not have swim practice or a swim meet. I'm trying to get things cleaned up around here, but there just is too much stuff to do for one day. We are making some good progress, and hopefully will keep working in the evenings to get things straightened out.
HCG diet: I finished my 45 day round of HCG and my final weight is 165 lbs. I am in maintenance now for three weeks. I still have to weigh myself every day and make sure that I stay below 167 lbs. This part of the diet is more like how I am used to eating. The important thing to avoid is carbs, especially things like potatoes, rice, bread etc. These are things I'm used to avoiding. I also have to note if high sugar fruits add the weight on as well. I've been using the nutrition tracker to help me count my calories. I'll be able to make adjustments daily based on the scale numbers. I am not trying to lose weight in this phase, just give my body time to adjust to its new weight. I plan to also start walking more regularly and doing some weights. We'll see if I find time.
Work may be a little crazy now. This is at the hospital close to my house. The head pharmacist is due with her baby the middle of August. She has been at the hospital for two years, but just became the boss this month. I am trying to learn how to run the pharmacy while she is on maternity leave. We have one more pharmacist to help fill in. He's in his 70's, and goes south for the winter, so we are in a pinch to find someone else to help fill in. This guy decided to take an Alaskan cruise the end of July and the beginning of August.
If boss lady has her baby early, I may end up working 2-3 weeks with no days off. We asked one of the city hospitals to help with this situation. They said they would only take planned hours. How can we plan when she goes into labor????? There is one more old guy I could call for help, but I would spend weeks cleaning up his messes afterward.
Right now, I am just praying she goes to term.
Anyway, I'd better get back to work. Lots to do!
