I was reading a fellow sparkers blog, CITYGIRL27, and she mentioned that she had a Nutribullet. I looked at it and thought it would be perfect for me. I got one and have been using it for about a week. I have mainly made the "green" spinach smoothies and they really aren't that bad at all. Even, dare I say, Yummy! Yesterday I was craving something sweet yet tart....like cheesecake! I remembered a smoothie that I had read on another blog, Peanut Butter Fingers. She isn't on SP, but she is inspiring to follow. Anyways, she made a strawberry cheesecake smoothie. I didn't have all of her ingredients, so I made a variation of hers. It had 3 Laughing Cow cream cheese wedges, strawberries, greek yogurt, and a splash of almond milk to get it going. It was really good! I think this will become my go to smoothie when I get the hankering. I often get a craving for a Sonic strawberry banana milkshake...this would be way healthier and just as good.
I am starting the 17 day diet up again. I have done good so far today. Had my smoothie this morning...spinach, frozen berry blend, 3 tbsp of yogurt (because I had a big container that was taking up room in my fridge and it needed to go!) and green tea to get it moving. It was good. The berry mix made it less green and brown than some of my other mixes I have made. A pretty purple is much more appealing than brown-green!
