Had to have DD pick me up from work after only two hours: I know now it was heat stroke. I was barfing, nauseated, sweating copiously and THIS close to fainting. I could barely stand up alone.. tried to fall on my bed and just cool down and let my stomach settle, but that made me feel worse,, got up, took some pepto tabs and sat in chair ,, That made my stomach feel better, but my whole body feels like a wrung out dishcloth.. I feel weak and totally exhausted.

This 100% humidity and high 90's temps is nothing to take lightly. Made some more green tea and sipping that for more hydration...

Ugh. Sounds pretty rough. There's got to be some good way to keep cooler. I like that Chilly pad idea.

I hope you feel better soon.

Have you ever bought a Chilly pad? it's a cool towel that you keep on your neck it stays ice cold after you wet it. It was a life saver when i was paddling on the boats.Walmart and drg stores sell them.

Hope you feel better tomorrow. My grandchildren and daughter have both been ill because of the heat. All I do is moan all day. I am retired but it must be awful when you have to go to work. I am sure you don't need any advice from me- but keep drinking the water.
