I have an overall weight goal in mind that I would like to reach, but I've realized that it's more motivating for me if I have smaller goals that I can adjust if things get in the way such as a plateau, events that weren't planned for, etc.
My current goal is a 5 lbs loss for July, I'm about 2.5 lbs from that goal and I'm pretty sure I'll make it. My weight yo-yo's about 3 lbs every week, I might loose 5, but then 3 come back. This has been ok, because by the end of the month, I should be where I want to be. I also use my clothes as a marker of loss.
