I belong to this wonderful group (yes, another one!) led by a very special lady; each day she provides us with her beautiful insight and motivational lessons. I am so excited that in late October, I will be traveling to upstate VT to attend a 3 day wellness seminar with her and other Butterfly Moms! TRULY EXCITED!!!!
I wanted to share (with permission) her mini-lesson for today; I feel it pertains to each of us and we can all learn from it.
Each and every day we wake up and begin the day with our "I HAVE TO DO" list. I know you have them; don't even pretend that you don't. I have several at any given time; I dread them, and at the end of the day/week/month, when there are still so many items left, I feel that I have failed someone along the way, most importantly, myself.
Today's lesson is to simply change those words from "I have to" to "I GET TO"!!! Simple, right??? Just thinking about it changes my perspective, turns me around!!!
"I have to go to work today" changes to " I get to go to work today". How many people cannot say this, given our current economy?
"I have to work out today" changes to "I get to work out today". How lucky am I that despite the aches and pains, I can still move my body.
"I have to follow the South Beach Diet-Gluten plan" changes to "I get to follow the SBDG plan today" and get healthier, hopefully get some answers!
"I have to make phone calls today to get my business moving forward" changes to "I get to make phone calls today, to share this wonderful opportunity with others".
"I have to clean house, pay bills, make dinner"....changes to "I get to clean my home, I get to pay bills (remember I have the job above), I get to make dinner for my loved ones".
" I have to log onto SparkPeople today" changes to "I get to log onto SparkPeople today! Truly a blessing in my life!
