yesterday was day 1 and we were off to a late start. Left the city at 10 am which in retrospect wasn't too bad. Spent a total of 8 hours "trapped in the minivan" as I am the only driver, (with a 53 yr old bladder, I know TMI) I get to choose how often and where we stop
I'm hoping my techno fingers work and this pics upload
wild rose the provincial flower of Alberta
inside Jasper National Park where we stopped for lunch along the Snaring River
one of the park residents who ate nearby
one of the many streams and rivers we will stop by. Enjoyed a 1/2 k walk and stretch break here
Today is a shorter drive-- 6 hours-- supposed to be sunny and hot.
water bottles are ready, sunscreen is on board and the bug spray is there- the debate in the territory we are entering- which is to be feared most= the bears OR the mosquitos and horse flies.
