Keep on Crying

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

Moaning and complaining about how stinking hot it is outside, how I don't want to be out in it, nothing about this kind of weather makes me want to go outside, but a promise to my running buddy did. We have been trying to get together for a run for the past two weeks, it has been raining every day that we have made a date so we haven't seen each other and was really missing getting out for a run together. We made a date for last night....could it have been any hotter yesterday....96, ugggh. We decided to go later in the evening, hoping it would cool down, but even at 7:00 last night, it was 90 degrees with 75% humidity, can you say ICK?????

The thought of even going out in this weather (shaking my head)....what did I get myself into, but I promised Paulette I'd be there, I am not one to go back on my word so I just sucked it up and headed out the door. Gross, sticky, hot, I could tell this was not going to go well.

We decided to do intervals, run three minutes, walk one, we managed that for about 2 miles, then we had to just throw in the towel....we were going to finish, but we walked. Even walking was hot, I love it when the sweat just rolls and pours down, hahahaha......NOT, but when you think about it this way....

I was one super cry baby last night, but so glad I got out there and sweat off a few gallons .....Ahhhhhh does the body good.

It was such an oppressive week, I got out there for a run one morning and it was gross but I thanked myself later. WTG sweating it out and sticking by your running buddy. emoticon

I have this framed on my wall in my workout room.
A friend got it for me at an Art Fair.
I hate sweating so it is a good reminder.

Way to hang in there! I can handle hot, but not humidity and hot. No thanks! emoticon

I just get on the treadmill every morning for a minimum of four miles. Six to seven on a good morning. I've been doing Body Revolution again with Jillian at night. (I can find 30 minutes, right?) When it's hot out like now, I just stay inside and wimp it out.

Be careful though. If you're out there in the heat, take a buddy! emoticon

...and I'm off! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have to give you a HUGE high five! I would not have done that. I'd have chosen to do something inside. I admit, I'm a whimp when it comes to heat and humidity. Used to pass out in those conditions when I was much younger - especially in church.

You need to find an indoor running location until the heat/humidity emoticon lets up. You did finish with out having to call 911. emoticon
