So on Sunday I decided to pack up Anissa and go for a run and left hubby to do what he does. I ended up doing 6.61k with 1.5k of that walking to and from the house to the pathway. I love having the pathway soo close, but it is a PITA to get too. I either have to walk on the road along one street since there is no sidewalk, which is not safe really with a stroller. OR I can hike it up a huge hill and walk through quite a few residential blocks before I can get to the pathway which starts with a big hill downwards. It is a nice view up top of that pathway, but some days I just feel like pushing a stroller up that hill. On the weekends it isn't so bad walking on the road since the industrial area by us is closed so it is someone safe, but during the week days it sucks. So yeah, a bit of a walk to get there, but the end result is me running
Once I got on the pathway Sunday I started to run, and I felt so energized by it! I ended up running with a couple of stops 5k. I can feel my endurance coming back, and I am loving it.
Went for another run today with another running mommy. She didn't bring along her child, but we still ran together. She even noticed my endurance increasing. We didn't stop as much. When we did it was mainly to safely pass some people. We ended up running 7.67k Wow, I feel great after that! I had updated the sparkpeople app on my phone and I noticed they got rid of the GPS tracker on the app. I was running that together with my nike+ so that I didn't have to input my mileage. I noticed that before we started the run. I hope they bring back that feature!
Tomorrow we are taking in a movie, stars and strollers for Grown Ups 2. So I won't be out running tomorrow, but I plan on walking to another meetup at a park, to learn some baby sign language.
