And when I mean uneventful, I mean downright sedentary.
I think, no, I KNOW, it started off with me in bed this morning. My stomach wasn't agreeing with me and I really, really didn't want my day to start- but not in a "Gimme some coffee" kind of way.
Of course, I tried to truck on.
Kiddo's summercamp had a PJs themed day today, so the kiddo convinced me to drive him to summercamp, instead of walking like we normally do (He really didn't need to do a whole lot of convincing.)
When I got back, I was determined to do SOME form of exercise. I pulled my random card, thinking I'll do the Strength Training on it. And, I did.
Now, folks, some of you know, some of you don't- sometimes I have problems with crunches. Fast, slow, focusing on breathing or not.. it happens randomly (though rarely when I'm watching videos) but sometimes I get lightheaded and nauseaous after doing sets of crunches.
And guess what was on my card today?
So, I decided not to wimp out- and I did my set on the card.
I didn't even really go past 50 calories burned according to my HRM.
I got it done.
And after that, it was VERY sedentary. Work, and a bit of house cleaning. Hubby actually had a migraine when he came home from work today, so I cooked dinner. I also put away laundry, but didn't incorporate any physical activity into it.
Am I a little bummed that I could have done more? Should I have done more? Yes, on both accounts. I could have just switched the card with something else, but I used the E-word (Excuse) and figured that I'm supposed to do these cards randomly for variety, like it or not. And as for later in the day, I just became a L-word (Lazy Person) and went through the motions.
Tomorrow is a new day, though, and it WILL be utilized to its full potential!
