My daughters and I recently were working on a quilt block kit. My daughter cut one of the pieces incorrectly. I sewed it together and squared it up. Years ago, I would have recut the piece and have said grumpy things to the daughter. But now I know that it is more important that my daughter has happy memories of making our first quilt block together than it is to have a perfect block. And this block is done. Done is better than perfect.
