I'm trying to be so good. I eat my salad and yogurt for lunch, pre workout. I have a banana for breakfast. Then I go down to the gym (this is at work) and flog my poor over weight body for anywhere from 50 to 60 mins. And I feel GOOD when I'm done. Then when I leave the gym...what hits me? A wave of deliciously scented air from the Cafe! Today it was rich, meaty smell. Like some sinfully good roast beef, just simmering away in a thick, rich gravy. It's SO NOT FAIR that I have to smell that everyday after working out!
Then I come back upstairs to my desk and eat a small banana, because if I don't have something after my workout, I tend to suck up food like a vacuum cleaner when I get home, before dinner!
At three I have a package of frozen banana slices (4 of them) covered in dark chocolate (100 cal per package). But the small from the Cafe stays with me.
So last night, I didn't get the workout in. I was so tried that I was in bed by 8:30 (that's way early for me!) It was still semi light outside!
I guess I needed the sleep though. I woke a few times to hit the ladies room, but that's all I remember until the alarm went off at 4:30 AM. And we had the leftover enchiladas last night. My weight was up this morning, salt I think, Mexican food does that to me. But they were good. Made with mostly left overs themselves.
My son in law Nick (sorta...they aren't married but been together as long as hubby and I and I think of him as my son in law) lost his Grandma B yesterday. She passed from cancer. My thoughts and Prayers go out to Nick, his dad (Grandma B's son), his mom, and all his family. And to Karry, my daughter, and my grandkids. They were all close to Grandma B. Caleb is old enough to understand death, but Malia isn't really. I love you all!
So I got 55 mins in the gym today on the elliptical. But boy howdy..the locker room was BUSY afterwards! I'm the shy type (at least when it comes to locker rooms), so with so many ladies in and out, I had to duck into the shower stall to undress and then shower, then dry off and redress. It was a bit...damp!
But I get it done. I refuse to NOT shower after working out. I get really "dewy" when I workout and don't want to small like a..well...like a locker room when I go back to work afterwards. Some do..and I don't know how they stand it!
