This blog is in response to the third assignment of the 5% Challenge. The actually challenge begins this weekend, however, I am participating in the assignments that are leading up to the challenge. This blog is to explain the reasons I wish to lose weight.
The emotional reasons:
+ I don't want to miss anything in my daughter's life. Graduations, driving, marriage, kids, etc.
+ I don't want my husband to have to become a caretaker.
The Health reasons:
+ I want to have more energy and just overall feel better.
+ While it hasn't been diagnosed by a doctor, I am pretty confident that I have plantar factitious (not sure if that is spelling correctly). I would like to reduce my food pain due to being heavy.
+ All four of my grandparents died due to heart issues. If I continue my current life style, I will most likely have the same issues--only at a younger age due to the fast food industry.
The comfort reasons:
+ I would like to be able to tie my shoes without holding my breath or doing acrobatics just to reach them!
+ It would be nice to be able to wear a skirt without my thighs constantly rubbing and chafing. Because of this, if I wear a skirt/dress--I have to wear bike shorts or leggings underneath.
+ The sweating... I sweat horribly due to being susceptible to heat.
The reasons that come from my place of vanity:
+ Running into old acquaintances when you are 100 pounds heavier than the last time you saw them is downright humiliating. It's even worse when it's an ex-boyfriend.
+ I would like to be able to wear high heels for longer than 5 minutes.
+ CLOTHES. I love to shop for clothes, however, plus size clothing manufacturers are just downright cruel when they produce their clothing. I don't wish to look 80 nor do I want to dress Gothic with "distressed" everything.
So...........there are my reasons. I'm sure there are many others that I haven't remembered, however, I'm sure you get the idea.
