My "Baby" Steps - TCoHP - wk 2

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

I think my first baby step is going to have to be that of finding a short workout that makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something without actually spending all day working out.

My second baby step is to tell myself that it's okay to take a shower in the late morning early afternoon. That's been a huge set back in working out for me. I never feel like I have enough time to work out and shower before Selene wakes up. Gonna just have to do it.

I feel like the 'poster-girl' for Peak 8. LOL!! I can NOT rave or gush or SHUT UP about doing this form of exercise ENOUGH for people in a time crunch, Hannah!!

If you could 'do' all 8 reps (which you can't at first - if you're really giving those 30 sec BURNS all you got) than here's what the time looks like:

NOTE: There's about 10 min of full body stretching before you begin.

    3 min Warm Up

    #1 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #2 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #3 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #4 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #5 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #6 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #7 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    #8 Peak
    30 sec BURN
    90 sec Slow Down

    3 min Cool Down

Without counting the full body stretching, you 'do' about 19 min + 30 sec for ALL 8 Peaks.

You have to be a professional athlete or that fit to get to the Peak 8. You have to be physically fit to 'do' a Peak 6 or Peak 7. I'm a Peak 4 and sometimes a Peak 5. A wimp. LOL!!

google Peak 8 or Phil Campbell on Sprint 8 Exercises. I've mentioned this (several times, LOL!!) over on a couple of TDRs (which allows us to add links, unlike these SPblog comments) and one place I recall was: Modernelf's TDRansfi guration spot- c/o houseelves (MODERNELF's TDR).

This just might be the emoticon for you, Hannah. Check it out!!

Starting with a short work-out is an excellent idea to get started! Good luck!

Hey, working up a good sweat is a wonderful thing! Wear your 'glow' proudly and don't feel at all bad about showering in the afternoon! Although I do shower right after my morning workout I'd just be happy to crawl into bed at night being clean emoticon

Good for you for making no excuses!
