Last Friday was my birthday and TC had quite the little celebration planned, which was really nice but NOT low-calorie. emoticon

Since we usually don't celebrate birthdays I decided I had to "go with it" and be gracious. Hey, if he wants to surprise and indulge me, who am I to argue?? AND, yesterday was our 24th anniversary, so we celebrated that over the weekend as well.

It was fun, but it's back to business with a vengeance today! Only 9 weeks until we leave for Peru and hiking the Inca Trail! YIKES!

Yesterday we walked 3 miles before our bike class. I ended up the day with over 20,000 steps.

Today I did Day 2, Week 1 of a 5K training program, and then we went to Cardio Pump class. Here it is only 11:00 am and I've already got 15,000 steps in! Good grief. I hope I can keep this up!!!

I made a HUGE pot of Eggplant Stew. This will be lunch all week!

I have made a promise to myself that I will NOT GET ON THE SCALE until next Monday. I'm going to focus on the process and NOT the stupid number.

    I understand. (Happy birthday and Anniversary, by the way!) There are 5 days between my birthday and anniversary. We don't usually exchange gifts anymore, but we do go out to dinner to celebrate so that I don't have to cook. It isn't easy on the calorie count, but it's only one week in the year.

Congratulations on your many steps! You'll be ready for Peru!

I made myself a promise when I got back on track to only weigh myself ONCE a week. It is so much less stressful. I will have to change that in a couple of weeks as I have joined the 5% challenge and they weigh on Saturday, not my regular day but, since MOnday is my day, the Saturday weight will keep me honest all weekend so I don't gain any between. Have a wonderful week and I hate eggplant. LOL

Peru!!! Wow!!! Up in the mountains? Do you have anything thing planned to top the plank on the Great Wall?
