JULY....HOT...HOT...
.HOT!!

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

I always forget how everything hurts when the temperature is turned up in NE. Just getting through the next few weeks is hard when you are hurting from arthritis pain and having trouble with mobility. I find myself in a catch 22 right now. I hurt, but I need to exercise, to get weight off, which hampers my joints which causes the pain, and around and around we go. But I'm trying really hard to restrict salt and to eat lean meat and veggies and some fruit and stay away from processed food. And tons of water!! I've also added trying to get extra rest when I can, no sleep is a culprit for me and just makes everything worse. But I won't give up, I can't.

Well, I called my doctor and told her how lousy I was walking and the hurting in my legs and feet. I was thinking it was the statin that she put me on last fall that has caught up with me. So we are quitting that to see if my legs get better. I will have to watch real closely what I eat now to keep my cholesterol level at 199, I'm at 204 right now, but I can do that and just maybe I will start to lose weight when I can move again. Here's hoping!
