Stage 1b
The idea that I admire that I would love to put in place in my life would be the daily reading of my Bible. I grew up in a Christian home, but I always struggled with Bible reading. I want to know the truth for myself and I think that if I could start this habit and keep it, I hope to learn how to believe again.

I hope you get to pursue your reading/study, Hannah. I am reading 3 chapters each day of the week and 5 chapters on Sunday. I use a couple different references (versions) and I love tracking down maps and visuals for places, etc. I love using the Greek and Hebrew definitions too.

I do it 1st thing in the morning, while having my espresso, before the day's distractions catch me.

Excellent! I too, have struggled trying to work my way through the Bible. I should take another emoticon as well! Enjoy your devotional time.

It seems to me that your faith is important to you, and I hope that you find a way back to it that feels comfortable for you. This seems like a good start. :)

Hi! I'm so glad to see you blogging again! I remember well the days of having an infant and feeling overwhelmed because you just can't plan your days. When I would finally get a window of time to myself, I would be almost paralyzed with indecision because I couldn't decide what I most wanted to do with that precious time! But 2 hour napping as you mentioned in your other blog is a good window of time for you to use. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Daily Bible reading is an excellent habit and I've tried to keep it up but not always succeeded. One thing that really helped me is not to try to start at the beginning and read straight through. Starting with the Gospel of John and then reading Romans or 1 Corinthians would be most helpful, I think.

There are lots of ideas of ways to read the Bible here: http://www.ewordtoday.com/year/

Best wishes to you!
