Meant to post something yesterday, but didn't get around to it. Oops!
I am so far still quite ramped up about the exercise plan I have made for myself, and I have been sticking to it really well. I'm currently visiting my in-laws, but they have a home gym. So there's really no excuses not to do something! My Polar trainer has really been helping me focus on keeping my heart rate up, but apparently it was too high last week - oops!
I absolutely love the training program this Polar technology has laid out for me! I love intense exercise, but its good to see when I need to cut back. So this week, my focus is to work on training for longer times at less high intensities. I'm trying to burn around 3750 a week, which is what the watch laid out for me.
I'm also proud that I've still stuck to doing my strength exercises. I get really caught up in doing mostly cardio, so I'm happy that I've been mixing it up more. I use workouts from the DailyHiit website. Not so sure I enjoy the outfits on the website, but the workouts are KILLER!
One setback I had this week was weigh-in on Monday morning. I'm back up to 142, which is really upsetting to me. My husband, God love him, knows just the right things to say when I get upset about my weight. I'm so lucky to have his support!
I normally don't weigh myself, but in order to keep my Polar monitor more accurate, I need to plug in my weight. What I really wish I had was a way to measure my body fat percentage. I know that I've gained a bit of muscle this year, but I'm still trying to lose some very stubborn fat.
A challenge that I always have is food. I know deep down that, with the way I exercise, if I ate better I would drop weight easily. And I really have been trying to cut back on my portion sizes and snacking habits. But while staying at my in-laws, I have been treated to some truly fabulous home cooking, and sometimes I feel impolite when I try to eat less. Anyone else feel this way?
This week, I'm trying to make it even by eating much less during the day - while my in-laws are at work- so that I can eat more with them when they get home. My husband doesn't yet know my tactic, but I guess I will see if he notices :-).
