Why Do I Make Plans?

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

A To-Do-List that just never seems to work out right! I had plans according to my blog yesterday. I was to get my new goals set-up, work station mapped out and calendar prepared for the remainder of the month. Did any of that happen yesterday?
NOPE emoticon Why? Visitors, was Monday and my co-worker stayed in my office until almost 10:30 talking, then I had to conduct an orientation, then here comes another co-worker which came 15-20 minutes before we have lunch together for an hour. By that time it was time for me to leave to meet the a/c repairman. Found out that a fuse was blown in the unit so it took about 10 minutes. Did I say he was kind of cute in a short kind of way emoticon Well he was but long finger nails on a man is just totally unacceptable in my book. But he was cute...

Well today I'm going to PLAN to get yesterdays PLAN done. I did however get to the gym after the repairs. Now my old lazy self tried to dive on the bed and get on the computer but I dove and then got up, got dressed and hit the gym. I did an hour on the treadmill with inclines. I came home and did weights for my upper body as well. Got in my 10 squats as well.

So I haven't officially weighed in a few weeks. I typically weigh on my Wii which is not connected at the moment. So until that happens I won't be weighing in, hopefully by the time it is connected I would have gotten rid of the extra pounds I KNOW I put on during this hiatus.

So that's it for me today. I'm eating my oatmeal as I type this. I did get in all of my water plus an extra bottle yesterday. I plan to make it happen today as well. I left my t-shirt home today so I'll have to swing in a store and grab one as to not let that be my excuse for not working out today. NO EXCUSES Vanessa!!! Oh yeah I logged my food in yesterday too!!!

Great job on tracking, water & exercise. emoticon You'll get your to-do list done. No worries! When the items on the list become a priority, you'll get it done! Have a great day!! emoticon

I find if I put it in my daily schedule I do it. If I see I schedule time in for it (actual time blocked off)-I do it.

I love to-do-lists, but like you, they don't get done. Mine just grows and grows. I have a book of thinks to do. When I don't get it done, it moves to the next day or page-very discouraging. So I tried something new (not so discouraging): I started writing down everything I got do that day instead of what I had to get done. I found I got a lot more done and I felt better about the day too.

Try it out-see how you feel after seeing what you have accomplished, rather than what you have to do.
