Brick Training

Saturday we did a brick - 13 mile bike, 3.1 mile run. There's a triathlon in August we were debating, but the setup is not great, and it's a long drive, which means we'd have to stay overnight and my budget is just too tight for some of this at the moment. So, we're going to nix that one - even though we did a brick at that route - and we're signing up for a local tri at the end of September instead. So I'll be doing 3 triathlons this year!!

At spin last night the instructor announced that Thursday he's doing a brick class. 20 min on the spin bikes, then a 1 mile run outside - repeating it either 2 or 3 times - can't remember what he said for repeats. Anyhow, we had planned on a swim/run day on Thursday, but I think we're going to do the brick class instead. Should be fun. And sweat-inducing too.

Anyway, tonight we'll run, and then tomorrow I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing yet. I have therapy after work, which means I'll miss spin class since I won't get done until it's about over. Maybe will swim at the Y? Have to think about that. Thursday will be the brick class, and then Friday regular spin I think. We may go do a brick on Saturday morning at the Tri-route we're going to do in September, but need to find out for sure with my training buddies on that.

And I am SUPER proud of my training partner - wanted to give her a shout-out today. She's down another pound and doing fantastic! Yay Tracylove3! You're awesome, mama!!
