Tess' brother, Falco----(just showing him off!--LOL)-
For this area , it is very hot-over 90 F---I have to sing praises for the AC in our home.
Himself and I have trouble leaving it on, after supper--We like to roll open the windows as soon as we see a breeze-----so nice to hear the birds singing too----but--last night we resisted the urge and slept with the AC running---
Finally, I wasn't running around , naked, in the night , closing windows, and starting up the AC at 1am. The Germans (as in dogs) were not panting in the heat.
In fact, I've had to keep both Germans indoors, if they are not at the dock. Sometimes I think we have the AC for them! Coal and Tess on the dock

We live on a lake----We have lived here for over 30 years. We raised our kids here on this lake. We never needed , nor had, AC-----We used to have fans everywhere ---but, no-one in the North here, needed AC----and we were proud of that!-
Times sure have changed!

In this heat, I tend to reach for a cold pop----To-day it will be a cold water----
That is my goal for to-day!--But--right now , the wash is waiting to go out on the solar dryer--the Germans need a walk before the temperature climbs---and----I need to wish you a great day!----Yabba-Dabba--DOoooo!!!
! --Himself and I!!!

Oh My Lord!---This wee bit of advice just crept in here!--*S*

This is quite the heat wave we're having. You're smart to do what you need to stay cool even if it includes AC. Lovely lake you live on.

I read today that high humidity inhibits a dog from cooling himself off by panting so keep that AC on for the dogs especially as the AC helps keep the humidity down in the house! Great pic of "Himself and I"!!!

You are further north, you should be cooler. Good thing the dogs have the lake to jump into! I love the pictures! Falco is cute. Tess and Coal look like they love the water, and I love the picture of you and himself! Try to stay cool. The humidity is bad here, too! Have a wonderful day! emoticon

Awwww, Falco is a handsome boy!!! (SHHHH! Tess is cuter! LOL) Never had A/C growing up either, but I do appreciate it @ night when I'm trying to sleep. Otherwise I don't use it too much during the day. I'll probably relent today . . . we'll see. It's a steamy jungle out there this morning already!

HUGS and smiles. LOVE the poster. It's so true!

I hear ya was smokin' hot here yesterday and will be until Thursday! Last night went for a 2 KM swim in Meech Lake -- it was great but when I got out of the water, it was still hot.

Stay hydrated.
