Sometimes it's so frustrating waiting for the day to come when you're "ready". I'm sooo happy mine finally did.

Very true. Anyone can say they want to change, but we need the right attitude
Can't make something happen and think it will. We need to say I WILL DO THIS and then follow thru.

I have plenty of willpower to give other people, but none for myself. I rely on the strength of others and of God to get me through. It was only when I accepted that I can't do anything by myself, and was willing to follow the direction of others, that I have succeeded in losing weight and keeping it off. Lean on others and let them lean on you. You gain far more than a weight goal.

On the surface, this seems simple and obvious, but it's anything but.

Change requires letting go, and releasing our rigid death grip on old habits and old viewpoints is tough, despite our knowing that they gave us the reason to be here in the first place. Maybe it's that we're afraid of losing ourselves, even losing some of the good that we've become along the way, or the knowledge from hard won lessons. Maybe we fear being in a kind of emotional no man's land without our "armor."

Whatever it is, you have me thinking this morning, my friend. Change.

LOL, just had a thought. If changing is good for babies, maybe I should give it a try, too! Hope that's not offensive. Have a great day, CherylAnne!
And thanks.

:) Gail

Oh so true! Some times we need to make the decision to change over and over and over again! I'm ready and hope you are too.
