I'm feeling older. Yesterday was my youngest's birthday. For some reason, his getting older makes me more aware of getting older than my birthday does! I was able to spend time with him over the weekend and did call him on his birthday.

I don't mind the getting older part so much as the thought I'll miss what is going on here on earth after I'm gone! Maybe I can still get a glimpse from heaven!

I know what you mean. I'll be sixty this month. SIXTY?! When did THAT happen? My DD tells me I look in my mid-40's...my son is gonna be 30, same age as I was when I had him!
Inside I still feel young, but the body - arthritis - reminds me that the years have indeed passed. Let's just be grateful for the time we have and make a difference with the rest of our lives! Shel

I understand about the age thing. I kept telling people my oldest was 37 when I finally realized she was 39. Oh well. Time marches on.

I admire people that don't mind getting older - because I sure do and I don't like it one bit because as time passes more aches and pains with the joints, ligaments and tendons increases. I don't buy into the 60's are the new 40's - baloney - whoever makes these things up hasn't been there yet! Happy B-Day to your youngest!!!

I don't mind getting older. At least I'm here to enjoy it! I never thought I'd live past 33....but I'm still here!

My kids have the same effect on me...I can deny my age and believe I am the age my head tells me until they have a birthday. Then the math doesn't work-LOL

It's the children who are getting older, not you... at least that's what my Mom likes to say!

Remember the alternative Patricia!! You see it every day... you are not older, you are merely a History Expert!

Actually, getting older is nothing to really be afraid of. Most people I know are more content the older they get. That is to a point. That might be that final chapter in life that is way down the road for most people. Glenn
