My day began at the doctor's office getting more work done on this knee. He did some good stuff today and it does feel stronger. Need these bruises to heal so we can determine if some of the pain I'm feeling is coming from those or not. Next "knee day" is 7/24.
Once home I took the kids to Build-a-Bear and that was fun. We even bought a Papa Smurf "bear" to tuck away for a Christmas gift for their dad. He's always loved the Smurfs. Now we just have to get it out of Isaac's mind so he doesn't blow the surprise! LOL Isaac bought PJs for his rabbit Parker and Maegann bought the Pug that she'd been wanting for quite some time.
Once home we had lunch and then just did little stuff for a few hours before we headed back out as they had appointments to have tests done to see where their strengths/weaknesses are with learning due to the way their brains process things. Will go back Wednesday afternoon for the results. Should be interesting!
It was about 100 again...yep...back to our triple digits! This is the coolest spot in the house for the hounds. Right in front of the fan that blows the AC from the entryway.
Tomorrow my day will begin with my second IV treatment. Should be home by 11:30 and then nothing on the schedule until I run Maegann in to this same place to have her tested for coconut sensitivity. We're just not sure and the one who did my live blood cell test told me to bring her in and she'd do a quick muscle test to find out since I really need to know if I can use coconut oil to cook with as I need healthy fats.
5% Challenge - Team Daisy: We are nearing the start of the next 8-week challenge so the assignments are coming. Here's my progress on the first two and the "blog" needed for the third:
Assignment #1: On your Spark Page write up your 5% Challenge Commitment. How much and how often will you exercise? What diet will you follow? How will you support your team? DONE!
Assignment #2: Update my SPage prior to the 5% Challenge starting. DONE! Will do more “Daisy” specific once I know for sure I’m assigned on that team once again. Pretty sure I will be....and I hope so! Great team!
Assignment #3: List all the reasons you want to lose weight. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!
This challenge will be starting a bit differently for me with all the new “health” things I have going on right now with liver toxicity and yeast/fungus/parasites in my blood. What I need to change is: give up dairy (I’ve done this 98% for two weeks, but need 100%.), lessen sugar intake (I don’t do much, but it hides in so many things.) and add more healthy fats (olives, avocado, fish, nuts, etc.). How I want to look? Healthier. That could be in pounds, inches or less dry skin. How do I want to feel? More energetic, more confident and happier. What things will I be able to do in the future with a slimmer, healthier body? Keep up with the kids easier. Have more energy/desire to do different activities. Shop outside the plus size area of the store.
Gym Time: Did not get around to phoning the Rec Center today so it is on the schedule for tomorrow afternoon to do my research. Hopefully I can get to it.
