Monday - Day one

Monday, July 15, 2013

I apologize for not visiting much lately. We have been cooking and serving meals to the volunteer workers building at the church. And tonight was day one of VBS.

I wasn't expecting a great turn out and more than I ask for attended- all boys 10 years old and in the 5th grade. When I met one of the dad's that brought them, I realized I had met him before when he bought the property next door to the old house.

We had a great old time. I even got them to say popcorn prayers before they realized it they were praying. Lot's of activity. I even got the class out of order and it went smoothly. I am tired and I am going to bed. Good night.

Number 36 of the 71 "trust Psalms...
Psalm 44:4-8
Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

God bless us with deliverance so that we may boast in you all day long.

I always prefered working with boys myself. They just seemed easier to me, not so much drama! Enjoy VBS this week! You're a blessing to them!

Very nice. I once did Sunday School with all boys! They keep you busy but it was lots of fun.
