Family Visit and game nite

Monday, July 15, 2013

they arrived and pulled into the driveway as I got home from church. My mother had recognized my car and they followed me home as they didn't know where my new house was or the address... only in a small town I guess.

Then we went to niece's and had a full turkey dinner in 31C heat... I did give in and have stuffing, cranberries and sweet potatoes... But, i brought yogurt for my desert and avoided the triple chocolate.
Visited and after I got home , my sis, EX-sil and mom came out and we played cards. AFter that I was hungry but couldn't find anything in fridge that I wanted, then I decided I wanted turkey... Called my niece and luckily we only live about 3 miles apart and I told her I had a craving and asked her to deliver me some leftover turkey... I know, short and sweet, makes it sound blunt... But I did trade her 9 egg salad rolls and a pineapple and 1/2 a bag of chips... The turkey was just what I wanted and I enjoyed it.. It was Win-win, cuz then I also had those things out of my house that I would have been tempted by. Mom brought the chips, and when they put it on the table beside me, I put it at the other end of the table and didn't even have one!!!!! Then had fresh pineapple.... it's been months since we had chips in our house, when I can say the same about ice cream, that will really be success.

But, on the 15th day, I was only down a total of 4 lbs, and gave up. So, today, it was cereal for breakfast, first time in 2 weeks..... but for the whole day - I didn't go on a feeding frenzy at all - I am only at 1041 cal, so gonna have to pay better attention and meet more of my nutrients.... but it's so hot today..

I was up at 8:14 this am and walking by 9am, so I'm off to bed, tired.....and the heat didn't help....but Buddy and I walked 2 laps today and then dh and I went and had a long walk on the sandy beach in the heat...... nite all.

I love your comments and thank you all.

Great choice on trading for the turkey! :) I hope it's cooler for you today. I don't know C numbers on the thermometer we have degrees here and it was 94 today with no air moving. :( Hugs!

Sounds like a terrific family visit!
Bravo for passing by the triple chocolate and chips! emoticon I am really proud of you for not giving in to those temptations

and you know what 4 lbs for the time on that diet isnt that bad...we are supposed to lose 1 -2 lbs a week, so it is right in line with what is supposed to happen with a proper diet.

I personally, am not good at following something that say eat this or that on certain days or times. My meals are almost always something I think of on the way to the kitchen to make a meal. The only thing I may know about my meals is when I take something frozen out to thaw for dinner, though I may not know how I will prepare it lol Benefits of living alone I guess.

Sweet dreams my friend have a great day tomorrow!

It sounds like you had a great proud of you for watching what you ate. I am having trouble eating enough these days too. Does your blood sugar go up in this weather too?

Glad you walked, I hope that you had water! emoticon
