Good Monday Sparkfam! It has been a minute but I am always trying to make sure I hit you guys with a goody or comment on your page or blogs. I have been so busy with my little pooda scooda freshin fruita (grandbaby slang). lol He is such a joy and his little puppy brodder is such a big boy & tries to help whenever he can......I took a staycation to help my daughter & SIL with the babies while their daycare provider closed 2weeks. I just couldn't let little Camden stay with someone else who might let him cry too much. I mean a good 2-5 minutes isn't bad but anything beyond that is way too long. I shed a tear.....
Well a few months back I hinted that I would be starting a business with my hubster?? Well I am glad to say that Trinity 3 Trucking is up & almost about to be running. We bought a tractor but will run with JB Hunt with our own authority (means more money) and once we get our trailer we will get even more money. I am overjoyed but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch. Starting a business can be extremely difficult and the time it takes from your life can be immense. I have prayed on this almost everyday but trying not to be selfish. I want to wise in decision making when it comes to our business & finance.
On another my youngest son is giving us the blues.... I have prayed on this & on him & ask for your prayers for us as well. As the devil is busy but I refuse to give on him but I can't lock him in the basement? Well I could but he is 16years old & I'm trying to help him think more for himself. This is some times difficult as we know kids know it all & the peer pressure. I mean, he is a well mannered kid but he is sneaking out of the house which as you know can very dangerous. I am NEVER giving up on my kids! I am thinking of sending him to a military school as per his request. He thinks he is in jail now he has no idea....I will keep you posted.
I went to my yearly pap exam and I lsot 10lbs. I was wondering if it was just water? I will take it nonetheless. lol Thank you for reading & take care.
God bless & keep you all!!!

I am keeping good thoughts for your son. I used to be a juvenile hall public defender, and frustrated parents would talk to me. I told them -- and truly believe -- that the issues would pass. The kid would grow out of the problems. And, generally, I was right.

I said a prayer for your son. I have had some problems with my 35 year old son that are far greater. He has been to jail for real. He wears an ankle monitor for using his ex fiance's password and posting derogatory stuff of her Facebook page. That is Felony 3 in the state of Texas. My advise is to take control now while your son is 16.
Congratulations and I hope you all do VERY well on your new business!!!!

Hey my friend, it is FANTASTIC to hear about your new business! Especially because it won't be taking you away from Chicago--right? I can imagine there is lots of stuff to stay on top of. Best wishes with it all, & may you soon get the trailer, & may there be no nasty accidents!
So glad you got the extra time with your grandkids. They grow up so quickly! And woohoooo on losing 10 lbs, yay!
And you have all my sympathy as you struggle to help your son survive & thrive. I think age 16 is especially hard for boys. My son wasn't a bad kid either, but he was pretty unhappy at that age. May God protect your boy, especially as he is out & about--the Zimmerman verdict Saturday night was BAD, in my opinion, & I am praying extra-hard for our beautiful black boys. Big to all of you, & prayers alongside yours.

Lol "pooda scooda freshin fruita" it!!!
Congratulations on your & your hubby's business!!! That's SO exciting. It definitely takes dedication, patience, and persistence to run your own business & I am praying for your success and that you will be guided to make the wisest decisions for you guys! YAY!!!
Teenagers are always a tough situation, lol. I have a little sister who is now 18 & is about as stubborn as I was as a teen (not a good thing, lol). Of course they know everything, they know better than you, and everything you do in an attempt to keep them out of trouble is really just an attempt to make them the most unhappy they could be just for your own entertainment. *le sigh* I don't know how your son is with communication, but my sis, anytime anyone would try to tell her something for her own good she would just shut down & not even listen or respond.
What I found worked best was to start a discussion, not giving advice, but talking out different scenarios, asking what she thought about them, what her reaction would be, what could go wrong, what were better/alternative courses of action would be, etc. It was better if she came to the conclusion to take an alternative course of action rather than be told that she had to. It's different with everyone though, but eventually they grow up and realize that their parents are smarter than they gave them credit for being and probably weren't just trying to make them suffer. I'll be praying for an amiable outcome for your family in that situation as well.
