This heat is crazy. Up to 97. After spending the afternoon outside in this heat, coming home, doing errands, washing two loads of dishes, and making dinner, I was exhausted. So much so that the last thing I wanted was to go outside in this mugginess and walk with my friend, no offense to Melinda. I wasn't motivated at all. In a last ditch effort to get myself motivated to do something, I looked at my wedding pics. That was enough. I popped in Just Dance 4 on the Wii. It has a nice feature called Just Sweat which involves workouts. Right now there is no way that I can do the C25K (I was repeating week 3) in this heat. As much as I want to be healthy I do not wish to bring on a seizure by dehydrating myself. Been there, done that. Anyways, back to Just Dance. I did 40 minutes worth of dancing and I was sweating... and stinking. So, long story short, I was able to get in a great workout without killing myself in this heat. Don't get me wrong, I love working out in the elements. A nice hike on a hot, humid day (particularly one that ends at a creek) is a favorite of mine, but I think 2 hours outside in this earlier was enough for me.
