Running and Motivation

Monday, July 15, 2013

I ran a night time half marathon this past weekend. It was an interesting run, the course was okay, packed at the beginning. I know that I did not train hard enough for it because mile 10-13 were killers! However, the "bling" worthy, glow in the dark, gigantic medal at the end made it all worth it. I have started a "wall of fame" in my bathroom where I am hanging all of my medals. This one was number 6. I am still sore today (2 days later) but when I walk into my bathroom and see my wall it is motivating to me. That wall signifies a lot of hard work, dedication, and motivation on my part. It is a constant reminder to me that I am healthier, I am making good choices. Today I celebrate that!
