My mom was in Ecuador a couple of months ago and learned that my aunt was selling these products. My cousin has lost a lot of weight by combining these with a healthy lifestyle. She is eating light and walking most days of the week.
Knowing about my constant struggle with weight, mom bought me 4 boxes of the powder/formula developed by Wellness - Oriflame.
I have started to drink it today. This is Day 1. I had the recommended amount of 1 spoon mixed with water to fill half the container. You must take this 30 minutes prior to your meal. They recommend taking it before lunch and dinner.
I had the Natural Vanilla flavor and it wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. I wish you could put more water on it so that the taste wasn't so strong but it is alright, totally drinkable.
I will continue to report how I feel with it. The website describes it as "A nutritious snack high in protein, fibre, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and with a low glycemic index. Natural ingredients provide optimum nutrition and help satisfy hunger and cravings. Patented formula."
It is supposed to fill you and reduce your appetite and cravings. It comes in many flavors (including chocolate, yum) but I just will get to try Vanilla and Strawberry. If I decide that I like it and it is helping me, I can either get more from my aunt in Ecuador or find a local supplier.
The product is from Sweeden and while it does not have FDA approval, a preliminary search on Google did not show any particular reviews that I should be concerned about. I wish there was more information about them other than advertising because of course that will be positive. I did not find any blogs or reviews that semed more objective. On the bright side, there weren't any lawsuits or bad press either.
Here I go trying this. Wish me luck!
