Yesterday we had Jax's 2nd birthday party. We invited mainly family members over and a close friend's family with their kids and we had a nice afternoon. It was Minon themed!

I ate a very large amount of NON-Paleo items yesterday and my tummy is paying the price today...ugh. And I bought/made entirely TOO MUCH food (as usual) so I brought in a few things to share/give-away at work (I swear people will eat anything if it is free) today and will probably bring in more tomorrow. On a daily basis, I'm doing better on the eating front, but I still can't seem to separate "celebrating" from "eating" so that is definitely something I need to work on. It is hard when basically none of the other guests are into healthy eating, and certainly not interested in anything Paleo. I struggle to figure out what to serve, then end up serving the typical junk (which I still find yummy, but my system doesn't tolerate it well at all), I eat it all, and then end up paying the price. Does anyone else struggle with this? If I have people over, I want to provide them things they will like. And I did have some healthier (ish) options - including a kale salad and a fruit salad (to go with the pizza! LOL) - which I ate, but were barely touched by others, so it isn't like serving only super duper "healthy" food will go over well, yet I don't have the self control to stay away from the "bad" stuff if I have it around.
All of this is not helped by the fact that I LOVE to bake (the cupcakes were FUN!) but again, not too Paleo, or healthy in any which way. AAAAHHHH! Ok, so I should eat one, enjoy it and move on, right? Um.............yeah ok. Easier said than done! (Baked goods in particular are my weakness - not good for a baker trying to lose weight!)
I really don't mean to complain, but entertaining is challenging to my weight loss. I guess for now the only thing I can do is to get back on track. If this migraine would just go away (yep - fun - another thing I have going on right now), I will be all set!
