Sparkstreak, Day 10

Monday, July 15, 2013

It's still Sunday here in the Northwest, but since it is after 9 PM, for Sparkpeople it is past midnight, hence it is their Monday. Oh well, I am going to post Day 10 anyhow, and with any luck, I will do Day 11 before 9 PM on the actual Pacific Northwest Monday.

Another great day! I was working with my tomatoes (I am crazy, I know, about 80 plants) and have them all staked and tied, and awaiting the next layer of ties. I love to try new varieties, and I make a lot of my own tomato products, besides eating lots fresh. Yum!!

I also worked on rooting out the ubiquitous blackberries from the rear of our house. They have made an invasion of the fuchsias I have there, and I made good progress today. Lots of digging, yanking, and good, old-fashioned gardening exercise!

So far so good on posting meals and exercise. Yippee!

I love tomatoes too. I used to plant a lot more than I did this year, which is only nine plants. I think that is enough for me and my husband. I really need to learn how to can.
