Fare thee well party

David is leaving for Colorado on 25 July. Today he hosted his going away party and since we have the room that his house doesn't, we provided the venue. I honestly thought that that would mean that we would be hosting, but he provided all the food and beverage and paper goods. So he really did host.
I always approach parties like this with a certain amount of caution because it is so easy to jump the rails with all the food. This time I managed to keep busy with other chores. When the crabs needed to be ordered, I went up to the Sea Hut to place the order. When we needed shade, I put up the canopies. When the crabs were ready, I volunteered to go pick them up. Beer, ice, chips, whatever was needed I made the run. The idea was to stay away from grazing.
Ok, ok, ok. I did have too many olives. And too many pita chips and hummus. But I stay aware of what I was doing and backed off before it got out of control.
Then late in the evening, She(WMBO) cam over to me and said "We have used up three cases of water," that's 120 liters, "and we are out of water."
I could not resist. "Woman," I asked, "Of what concern of mine is this?"
She stepped back and looked at me. "Just do what you need to do."
"Alright. Please go get me two of your best bottles of wine."
"You will be going straight to hell for that if you die tonight. You know that."
