OUCH!!

Sunday, July 14, 2013

I'm back again to tell you a story about me and a hornet.
Last Sunday I was out watering the tomato plants and happened to see some hornets going in and out of a crack near my side door. So, I would squirt them with my hose, they would leave, and come back again to the crack near my door. I continued for awhile with the hornet squirting and lo & behold one hornet proceeded to fly just above my hair and then the little so & so stung me next to my right eye. Within hours the eyelid and the area around my eye became swollen and red. Cool comps and Aleve for me for the rest of the week.
My eye is better, there is still a bit of swelling after a week but I learned a valuable lesson...Don't squirt hornets!! Ever!!

Please set up traps using soda pop or ground meat. The nests will just grow bigger if you don't do anything to reduce their population. Good luck.
