50 Day Challege :)

Sunday, July 14, 2013

Well in the past 2 weeks my eating habits haven't been what I want them to be. Too much sugar and fat and not enough veggies. I've been maintaining my weight but that's about it. It's kind of depressing to not see the scale moving down but I know I haven't been eating they way I should. So my husband and I decided yesterday to do 50 days of eating according to our plan and doing at least 10 fitness minutes a day. I plan to do way more fitness minutes than 10/day ( I usually do 60-90).. but 10 is just a minimum. My main challenge for these 50 days is going to be eating right and not slipping up at all.

Our challenge started yesterday July 13th and will end August 31st. I'm ready to do this and get my mojo back! I stocked my fridge full of fresh fruits and veggies. I cut them all up and boiled some eggs for snacking. I have tons of lean protein and whole grains on hand too. We are ready! For a workout yesterday we ran 1.5 miles then climbed the McKinley Monument steps 6 times. (There are 100 steps up to the monument). Then we walked 1.5 miles back. I felt awesome afterwards.

Today I am meeting my friend at the gym for 30 minutes running, 30 minutes walking and 30 minutes strength training legs and butt. I've eaten super healthy all day and I have a healthy dinner all planned. Day 2 of 50 is a success.

I will try to blog every day of the 50 days to just stay accountable. I'm ready to see the scale move in the right direction again. Off to the gym I go. emoticon
