What gets you motivated to exercise?

I was in my morning routine-reading SP w/coffee. After doing some reading/posting I gear up for my Leslie Sansone workout. I did my workout, but it took me a lot to get motivated. Some mornings I'm all gung ho about getting started while other days not so much. And today was one of those not so much days. Why is that? I guess there are many factors- tired, bored or just not into it that day. I don't know which one I was. It took all my effort to get this workout in this morning. I kept looking at the clock and wonder when this mile was going to end. It finally did, but I was sooo happy to have worked out because my mood lifted and I felt invigorated. So, if I'm getting all that benefit why would I hesitate on doing it? I'm just glad that I did it!

    Way to go girl! It's really hard for me too, sometimes. I usually turn on the radio and get a song going on in my head, and then I just start going for it. Been checking out youtube songs and different exercises, and they have some great 10 minute videos here on spark and sometimes great longer cardio ones. I use to get up and have coffee and sit & do sparks .
i found out now I get up , have my coffee you might call it on the go .
I do my exercise first .

the longer I sit the longer I can talk myself out of ever getting started .
on my yoga days , i put that mat out first thing , key reminder .
on my stationary bike days .my shoes are right there & my drink just waiting
these are keys that i will do it. its a plan emoticon

    I find getting started is the hardest. I really like my DVD work outs but to break it up I will put it on my lap top turn off the sound and turn something on the TV or turn on some tunes. i don't know why we some times fight what is good for us? I wonder the same.. emoticon
