I am sooooo not a morning person. Never have been. Both of my brothers are, as is my mother; they LOVE mornings. It has always been simply another point towards my life as the odd duck. But I do hold the hope that my feelings towards the am will eventually change, and, as we all know, hope is what keeps us striving for a difference.
Today, I am logging in during my first cup of morning coffee as a wonderful Sparker advised. However, since I found it hard to motivate myself out of bed to even begin brewing that pot, I decided to add on my quick daily leg workout. It's nothing strenuous, so there is no reason I can't do it the minute I roll out of bed:
20 front kicks (each leg)
20 back kicks (each leg)
It has always been a sort of fall back routine since it doesn't take much time. As my day would progress, and I would feel lazy from sitting too much or bad for not moving around enough, I would get up and move through the routine within mere minutes, then get back to whatever I was focusing on.
For right now, I think that this faithful little workout will be the perfect new friend in my morning routine. My goal for this week is to wake up, immediately jumpstart my legs, brew some coffee, and log onto SP.
