Kitchen Reno end of Week 1

Sunday, July 14, 2013

The kitchen is fully demo'd and ready for the tile floor to go down tomorrow.

It's bleak but exciting. What you can't see is the DUST!

Why is it that on TV demo only takes one day, when in real life it takes a week?

It's gonna be so nice when it's done. Just remember that.

Nell HGTV makes it look so easy, but those of us who have been through or are going through this no it is not true.
Taking photos is a great idea.

On TV they have editors who chop things up and put them together into the hour long slot including commercials. It will all be over soon and then you can have your life back. Until then, emoticon emoticon

I know what the dust is like and I don't envy you that one bit! But I know it will be so worth it when it is done!

Yes, wouldn't it have been nice to go out for a long dinner, and come home and have everything all done for you?
Reality TV, yes. Reality, NO.

It's all worth it in the end. I absolutely love my remodeled kitchen. The hardest part for me was all the choices before it started. Loved the demo portion personally but that's because I did a lot of it myself and found it to be a great stress reliever! Congratulations on the soon to be new kitchen!

I can't imagine all the dust, but the pictures actually make the end result of the demo look neat.

Ha! On TV it only takes about 5 minutes! And the entire remodel is done in 45 minutes, allowing for 15 minutes of commercials, of course. emoticon

Exciting! Everything takes longer in real life than on TV.

I hear you Nell. WE are still trying to get our ceiling and carpets back to normal, its always, ''hurry up and wait," but like you I will be thrilled with it when its done.

It won't be long until this is a memory and you'll have a nice, new kitchen.
