Weekly update and maintenance pictures

Sunday, July 14, 2013

Apart from working serious overtime on Wed/Thu, I head a great weak.
Ate well, did my usual morning workouts and a few extra evening walks, and I have been in a very good mood.

This morning I ran my usual Sunday 10K in 18 oC / 64 oF with a pleasant cool breeze.
I carried a bottle of water, filled to the top so it didn't slosh, and after drinking from it I left at about one third of the distance and picked it up on the way back. It was enough and more comfortable than the backpack.

Hubby made pictures of me when I got home, I'm at Week 95 of maintenance,
63 kg (2 kg over my lowest and 3 kg under my original goal weight).

That's a clever idea to hide the water and pick it up on the return journey.

You're looking great! I'm so inspired by your 95 weeks of maintenance!! It's one thing to lose the weight and another to keep it off. You've done both. Well done.

Awesome pictures! Your enthusiasm for health and fitness really comes through in these images. I still have a little more weight to lose, but am getting close, and have started running recently in hopes of nudging down again. I noticed your winter picture and wondered what footwear you use for running in the snow. I hike in the snow a lot, but worry about slipping when its icy. Would love some ideas on how to keep up running when the weather turns. Not sure I could keep it up indoors--maybe if I need to to stay fit--but I sure don't find indoor running fun. I much prefer outdoors!

Great job with your fitness maintenance! Were you always a runner, or is that where you find your fitness passion?
